Lochwood Farm Steading is situated one mile off of the B714 'Saltcoats to Dalry' Road in North Ayrshire. We are also well signposted so you won't miss us !!!

We are in a great location, with Prestwick Airport being only 25 minutes away and Glasgow Airport approximately 40 minutes away.

Ryanair - offer some really fantastic low fare flights from all over Europe, but especially London Stanstead.

Easyjet - www.easyjet.com - make use of Glasgow International Airport, again with some great deals.

If you are arriving from Ireland via one of the following ferry links

then you will find that we are only a 20 minute drive from Troon and just under two hours by car from Stranraer.

The major towns of Ayr, Kilmarnock, and Largs are also all within 30 minutes by car, but have good transport links if you intend arriving by train - www.scotrail.co.uk - or bus - www.spt.co.uk.

Please note that we are not situated on a public transport route. We would therefore recommend that you have some form of transport with you in order to get the most out of your stay.

First Set of Directions

Take the A 78 from Irvine to Greenock.  Stay on the A 78 until you arrive at Sharphill Roundabout - this is well signposted and situated on the new three town by-pass. Turn right (third exit) onto the B 714 to Dalry. Go for another 1/4 mile and then you will see the Brown Tourist Board signs for Lochwood Farm Steading - turn to your right and go for one further mile. We are the THIRD farm on the left handside.

** Please note that there are a great many other road signs to Dalry along the A78 - to avoid doing a mini tour of Ayrshire (!) - PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE -  only turn off for Dalry at SHARPHILL  ROUNDABOUT  **

Second Set of Directions

From the M8, coming from Glasgow, take the A 737 turn-off for Irvine - this is immediately after the turn-off for Glasgow Airport. Follow the signs for Dalry.

On arriving at Dalry, keep going until you reach a set of traffic lights and turn to your left here. Go down the hill, and just after the Jet petrol station, you will see the B714 road sign for Saltcoats - turn to your right.

Go for approximately five more miles and then you will see the Brown Tourist Board signs for Lochwood Farm Steading. Turn to your left and go for one further mile - we are the THIRD farm on the left handside.

Please Have A Safe Journey !
