Bed & Breakfast Tariff
Please choose which Tariff to view:
Is there a minimum stay ?
No ! You can stay one, two, three or even more nights.
What time is check-in ?
You can check-in anytime between 4.00 p.m. and 6.00 p.m. If you will be arriving later than this, then please telephone us on the day of your arrival to let us know your estimated time of arrival.
What time is check-out ?
Can we bring children?
Sorry, no. We no longer provide family accommodation.
Do you accept pets ?
No, we are really sorry.
Can we book online ?
Having personally been the victim of credit card fraud twice in the last few months, we unfortunately do not trust the Internet for card payments. We feel that in order to safeguard our guests, card details taken by phone is the safest method. Therefore in order to book, please telephone us on 01294 552529. Thank you.
Do you require a deposit ?
Yes. 50% deposit for a stay of one night, and 40% deposit for a stay of two nights or more. The remaining balance is due on the morning for departure.
No booking will be accepted and confirmed without a deposit.
Do you accept credit / debit cards ?
Yes: Visa, MasterCard and Maestro. We are unable to process American Express or Diners. All deposits must be paid by a debit or credit card. We do not accept cheques. The final balance of your stay for our B&B guests is due on the morning of departure and can be paid in cash.
Do you have wifi ?
Yes and is free. It can however only be accessed from the breakfast room which is available at all times for guest’s use between 8.00 a.m. and 9.00 p.m.
Our signal here is very weak due to several factors : the suites and bedrooms are spread apart and away from the router in the main farmhouse. The farmhouse also has extremely thick walls which deaden the signal. In addition, due to our location, we are also last on the line for the telephone and thus the furthest away from the Exchange.
Is it possible to bring a blow-up air bed or put in a z-bed for our son/daughter ?
Unfortunately not. Due to fire regulations, we are only able to accommodate a maximum of 2 people in each suite.
Do you have free parking ?
Are the hot tubs available to use all year round ?
Yes. In fact, the colder the better. Find out more…
Are you within walking distance of any restaurants / pubs ?
No. You would either have to drive or use a local taxi service.
If eating at Braidwood’s restaurant we will provide you with a complimentary lift along allowing you to get a taxi back.
Full details of all other recommended restaurants can be found in our Local Restaurants page.
How many Log Cabins with an outdoor jacuzzi hot tub do you have ?
Only one Log Cabin although we wish we had more ! The Bed of Roses and the Chocolate and Champagne suite are not log cabins or lodges. The Bed of Roses suite does however come with its own private outdoor jacuzzi hot tub. Both of these suites are located in traditional converted farm stone buildings situated around the main farmhouse and are totally private.
Can we invite family and friends up to use the outdoor jacuzzi hot tub if we have a suite booked for ourselves ?
Unfortunately not. We only have public liability insurance for the outdoor jacuzzi hot tubs for guests who have actually booked to stay here with us.
I’m not coming by car. What is the nearest train station to you ?
We would advise that you get off at Kilwinning and then get a taxi to us from there. Kilwinning is actually nearer to us than Saltcoats although Saltcoats is our postal address !
Are we allowed to use a disposable BBQ ?
Due to an incident that happened at our Log Cabin, unfortunately not, we are very sorry. There are lots of great restaurants in the area and full details of those can be found in our ‘farmhouse supper’ page. Alternatively, you could go for a late lunch before coming to us or bring some cold snacks for later in the evening.
